4 Simple Actions to Prevent Arthritis

It is better to prevent the situation of being diagnosed with arthritis than suffering from the irrepressible pain it induces, because as the old saying goes, “Prevention is better than Cure.”

By following these 4 simple actions you can prevent arthritis naturally:-

1. Diet – Have a diet that is rich in Calcium, Protein and Vitamin C. Fruits, vegetables, fish, nuts, legumes, and olive oil can be included. According to Ayurveda, exclude foods that can cause accumulation of gas in the abdomen and lead to burping. Hot, fried and spicy is best to be avoided. Consume plenty of milk products (fat-free) and green leafy vegetables to make your bones and joints strong.

2. Keep yourself Fit – Lack of exercise makes the joints more stiff & painful and the muscles surrounding the bones weaken. These muscles lend support to the bones and so should be strengthened by doing exercise. Walking, Swimming, Running, Cycling are the physical activities recommended – at least 3 to 4 times a week!

3. Sleep – There is no better natural therapy than a good sleep. Lack of sleep can induce pain as the muscles and bones won’t get much rest. Sleeping for 7 hours a day can keep your joints healthy.

4. Face the Sun – Vitamins D and B12 are as important as calcium to fight arthritis. The sunlight is excellent sources of Vitamin D so facing the sun for at least 45 minutes a day can help your body get enough of nutriments. Also consume plenty of milk products (fat-free) and green leafy vegetables to make your bones and joints strong.
